View and edit your projects in a web Gantt. Your data stays in FileMaker.

etGantt is a web-based Gantt viewer and editor that works directly on top of your Claris FileMaker solution. Your projects, phases, tasks, milestones and dependencies stay stored in FileMaker, which remains the system of record, while SetGantt gives your users an interactive timeline to see and edit them.

WHAT YOU GET

- Project tree and timeline side by side: phases, tasks and milestones on the left; one bar per task, a marker per milestone and the dependencies between them on the right. The divider between both areas can be resized, and selecting an item opens a detail panel.
- Direct editing: drag a bar to move a task, drag its edges to change its duration, and edit every detail in a tabbed dialog. Dates snap to whole days.
- Full dependency types: Finish-to-Start, Start-to-Start, Finish-to-Finish and Start-to-Finish, with positive lag or negative lead (for example, FS + 2 days). Circular dependencies are rejected.
- Moving a task can shift its successors.
- Baseline, to compare the original plan with the current one.
- Day and Week scales, progress and status tracking.
- Undo for the changes made in SetGantt.
- Sign-in and multiple organizations (tenants): each user chooses an organization and only sees its projects, with data isolated per tenant.
- Personal preferences: each user sets the date format (day-month-year, month-day-year or year-month-day) and the time zone.
- Interface in Spanish and English (Catalan in development).

HOW IT WORKS

SetGantt connects to your solution through the FileMaker Data API. When you change something in SetGantt, it is written to FileMaker immediately. When data is changed in FileMaker, users load it into SetGantt with the refresh button. Dependencies are recalculated for changes made through SetGantt, not for dates edited directly in FileMaker.

WORKING AS A TEAM

SetGantt does not lock the project while someone edits it. If another user has changed the project, a notice offers to reload the latest data from the server, so a change is never silently overwritten.

REQUIREMENTS

- Claris FileMaker Server with the FileMaker Data API enabled.
- The connection between SetGantt and your FileMaker solution is set up by an Integrator.
- A modern web browser. Designed for desktop computers, laptops and tablets in landscape orientation.
